Medical Director

James Allen
MD, PhD, FIDSA

James Allen, MD, PhD, FIDSA is a board-certified Infectious Disease physician who has extensive clinical infectious diseases experience and a passion for appropriate antimicrobial use.

Dr. Allen received his PHD in Microbiology from the University of Iowa and his MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Residency training in Internal Medicine was completed at Loyola University Medical Center and Infectious Disease Fellowship training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

He established a robust Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and was the ASP Medical Director at a major health system in Colorado. This very successful ASP utilized Handshake Stewardship which is an expanded form of Prospective Audit and Feedback. He is currently an Infectious Disease consultant and an active participant in the Antimicrobial Stewardship programs at several hospitals.

Dr. Allen is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, a member of numerous infectious disease organizations, and a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

Clinical Pharmacy Director

Dr. Sumaya Ased
PharmD, BCIDP, BCPS

Dr. Sumaya Ased is a dual-board certified clinical pharmacy specialist in Pharmacotherapy and Infectious Disease. She attended pharmacy school at Creighton University, where she earned her PharmD degree, then completing residency training at Creighton University Medical Center.  She has experience in pharmacy leadership, academic medicine, antimicrobial stewardship and infectious disease. Dr. Ased has multiple publications since her time as clinical pharmacist at Creighton University and as adjunct faculty at Saint Louis University. Afterwards, experience in starting and maintaining ASP programs in a variety of hospital settings, ranging from academic to rural, critical-access. Dr. Ased holds an Antimicrobial Stewardship Certificate through the Society of Infectious Disease Pharmacist (SIDP). She serves as the Chief of Pharmacy for MDstewardship, supporting antimicrobial stewardship in over 20 hospitals nationwide.

Technical Director

Tad Osborn, MCSE, CNA

Tad has been working as an IT Professional with extensive experience with network administration, server deployment, cyber security, enterprise backup and systems infrastructure.  He is highly proficient with Microsoft based and Linux based server systems delivering high reliability and performance. He has server setup and deployment experience with Microsoft products and services, Linux and virtualization skills utilizing VMWare and Microsoft Virtualization technology.

Tad has more than 25 years’ experience as a database administrator, configuring and administering primarily MSSQL but also MySQL databases that provide businesses with detailed and accurate schema design, data integrity, reliability and performance.  Highly experienced in enterprise architecture, data design, migration, ETL processes, indexing, data warehousing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
